The experiments with ^246,248Cm targets to synthesize SHE of Z=116 and close to the region of predicted spherical shells. Mass determination of superheavy nuclei produced in reactions with ⁴⁸Ca. Synthesis and chemical extraction of heavy elements Z=104

112 by the solution and gaschromatography chemistry methods. Investigation of the dynamics of spontaneous and induced fission and of the cluster decay. Study of the mechanism of nuclear interaction and of the decay of heavy hot compound nuclei. Investigation of nuclei close to the nucleon stability boundary. Study of nuclear reactions using radioactive nuclei beams. Investigation of the mechanism of nuclear reactions at the FOBOS facility. Investigation of the dynamics of nonequlibrium processes.

Expected main results in 2001:

Synthesis of nuclei with Z=116 in the 248Cm+48Ca reactions.
Mass determination of superheavy nuclides at the VASSILISSA separator.
Upgrade and reconstruction of the GFRS (electronics and detector systems) and the VASSILISSA facilities (improvements in the mass-resolution, electronics and detector systems).
Modelling of the on-line chemical isolation and identification of heavy isotopes of the element with Z=112 produced in the ²³⁸U( ⁴⁸Ca,3-4n) reactions and detection of the -decay and spontaneous fission fragments in coincidence with neutrons.
Measurements of subbarrier fusion-fission in the Pb,U, ²⁴⁴Pu, ²⁴⁸Cm + ( ¹²C, ⁴⁸Ca, ⁵⁸Fe, ⁶⁴Ni, ⁸⁶Kr) reactions and analysis of the low-energy fission dynamic using the multidetector "Demon" and a fission fragment trigger "Corset".
Study at the separator COMBAS using intermediate energy projectiles of the yield and properties of heavy oxygen isotopes.
Upgrade of ACCULINNA involving the extension of the beam line with its exit from the cyclotron hall, installation of a liquid-tritium target, installation of neutron detectors and first experiments with the tritium target.
