Improvement and Development of the JINR Phasotron
for Fundamental and Applied Research

• Upgrade of the Phasotron and its beam channels to increase the intensity of low-energy secondary beams by a factor of 5-10. Construction of a new proton beam channel for investigation of the electronuclear process.
  
  
• Development of the Phasotron's medical beam channels.
  
  
• Design of the external injection into the Phasotron aimed at increasing its internal beam intensity up to 50 A.
  
  
• Design of the 15-MeV isochronous sector cyclotron as an injector of the 1-GeV cyclotron complex.
  
  
• New development of cyclotrons in the JINR Member States (AIC-144 Cracow).
  
  
• Development of digital and analogue electronic systems for automation of the Phasotron and experimental installations.
  
  
• Calculations of the space charge effects for the cyclotron RIKEN (Japan).

• Optimization of the extraction efficiency for the 48 MeV proton beam and extraction of the 60 MeV proton beam from the cyclotron AIC-144(INP, Cracow, Poland) together with the accelerator department of INP. Calculation of space charge effects for the cyclotron RIKEN (Japan).
  
  
• Design and fabrication of the controlled rectifying unit and the direct current regulator prototypes.
