Construction of the IREN Facility
(Project IREN)

• The IREN multiplying target and decommissioning of the IBR-30 reactor. Decommissioning of the IBR-30 reactor: commissioning of building 117/6 for storage of activated elements of IBR-30, dismantling of the reactor and auxiliary systems, evacuation of its fuel load to a special storage. Repair of the reactor hall and preparation for assembling of the IREN multiplying target. The multiplying target - approval by Russian authorities of the working project, obtaining of the license for installation of IREN in bldg.43. Placing of orders and start of cooling system unit assembling. Completion of the technical project of the IREN automated control system.
  
  
• The linac LUE-200 - completion of manufacture and assembly of support constructions and linac service trestle in bldg.43. Electron source - modernization of units, completion of tests at full-scale stand, assembly in bldg.43. Magnetic focusing system - completion of manufacture of system elements and electric power sources, magnetometric measurements, preparation for assembly. RF-system - further tests at full power on a full-scale stand, assembly and mounting of the first modultor in bldg.43. Cooling and thermostabilization systems, vacuum system - assembly to the extent necessary for the first stage of the LUE-200 project. System of diagnostics, control and safety - completion of the technical project, collection of the necessary equipment and the creation of the IREN control room.
