Proposal of a Real-Time Detector for Low-Energy Solar Neutrino
(Project BOREXINO)

Scientific Programme:
Direct solar neutrino flux measurements, precise Be-7 neutrino flux measurements.
Spectral measurements of solar high-energy neutrinos from 8 B on the Sun.
Study of neutrino elastic scattering on the electron with an artificial neutrino source of high intensity.
Search for solar neutrino vacuum oscillations.
Expected rate: 60 events/day (11 ev/d-background).
