Scientific Programme:
Construction in the Laboratory of Particle Physics of an effective computer environment for running experiments on particle and nuclear physics integrated in the JINR distribited information and computer infrastructure.

Expected main results in 2004:

A power of the LPP-VBLHE computer farm will be increased not less, than in 2 times by its update with modern high-speed personal computers.
A disk space for users will be increased not less, than in 2 times.
An effective access to the Internet from workstations and mobile computers inside the Laboratory will be provided.
A software of the computer cluster will be advanced on requests of experimenters.
Possibilities of a long-term data storage and big data volumes exchange with the world physical centres will be determined.
