Experiments with the Solenoidal Tracker at the Collider of Relativistic Nuclei and Polarized Protons RHIC
(Project STAR)

Scientific Programme:
Search for deconfinement signals and study of the multiple production of particles in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC collider. The reliable solution of the origin spin problem based on the spin-dependent destribution measurements of all proton constituents. The test of the spin-dependent coupling effects predicted by the Standard Model.

Expected results:

Compliting of construction of the STAR detector (participation).
Participation in data taking, obtaining physics results from STAR experiment data.
Description of the collision volume in the 200 GeV/nucleon Au-Au interactions at freeze-out, plus possible signatures of quark-gluon plasma formation.
Extraction of spin structure functions for proton constituents.

Expected main results in 2005:

Completing of construction for the BEMC STAR.
Participation of the LPP`s group in the Run-5 at STAR RHIC.
To make measurement and analysis of corrections between strange particles as a function of various types of particle pairs; extraction of 2-particle scattering lengths.
SMD BEMC calibration. To make measurement of the electron/positron inclusive spectra in dAu-, AuAu-collisions at =62 and 200 GeV.
