Experiments with the Solenoidal Tracker at the Collider of Relativistic Nuclei and Polarized Protons RHIC

Scientific Programme:
Study of properties of the matter being with extreme high temperatures and densities; looking for deconfinement signatures of quarks and of the fase trasitions in hadronic matter at heavy-ion collisions with

=60-200 GeV. Investigation of transversal and longitudinal spin structure of the nucleon by means of single/double spin asymmetry measure at RHIC collider.

Expected main results:

participation in data taking, modeling and analysis of the STAR experimental data;
participation in development of the STAR collaboration Software;
thermodynamic and geometry descriptions of the collision volume (at freeze-out, possible QGP state) at the 200 GeV/nucleon Au-Au interactions;
Extraction of spin structure functions for the proton constituents.

Expected main results in 2006:

Participation of the LPP`s group in the Run-6 at the STAR RHIC.
To make measurement of inclusive cross-section for the gammas emitted in AuAu- and dAu-collisions at =200 GeV within (40-150) MeV interval.
To make measurement and analysis of the correlations between strange and other particles as a function of variuos types of pairs: extraction of 2-particle scattering lengths.
Online web server development/STAR web mirror task: web-based content management system (Drupal CMS) evaluation, followed by CMS modification and extension according to STAR-specific needs.
Online/offline DB browsing tools expansion and modification (STAR DB browser; BEMC, EEMC browsers).
STAR GRID segment merging process: initial preparations and studies.
