Study of Neutrino Oscillations and Determination
of Oscillation Parameters

Scientific Programme:

Long base line neutrino oscillation search and study of neutrino oscillation parameters with the OPERA detector in the CNGS beam (CERN-Gran Sasso)--project OPERA
Analysis of the data of previous neutrino experiments for secondary hadrons emission study in p and interactions with nuclear targets for improvement of calculation of neutrino flux in current experiments.
Search for solar neutrino vacuum oscillations. Direct solar neutrino flux measurements, precise Be-7 neutrino flux measurements.

Expected main results in 2008:

Data taking with neutrinos from CNGS beam.
Creation of the scanning station for OPERA nuclear emulsion search.
Participation in the software development for the Target Tracker data taking and data analysis.
Measurement of the cross-section of hadron production at proton momentum of 8.9 GeV/ c on the Be target for the analysis of the MiniBoone experiment (Fermilab, USA).
Measurement of the forward and large-angle ^± spectra from 3 GeV/ c protons on Ta target for the design of the proton driver of the Neutrino Factory project.
Measurement of the spectrum of ^± at proton momentum 1.5 GeV/c on the water target for possible explanation of the LSND effect.
Participation in the international scoping study of a future Neutrino Factory and superbeam facilities.
Proposals preparation for the participation in new experiments for measurement of neutrino oscillations parameters. Search for solar neutrino vacuum oscillations.
The continuous data taking with the BOREXINO detector.
Precision (0.5 precision of Fiducial Volume definition (down to 5-10%).
Improvement of the result on the Be-7 flux with higher statistics, study of the Be-7 survival probability.
Study of the C ¹¹/neutrons correlation in a view of CNO-cycle neutrino measurement.
pp -neutrino flux measurement with 1 year statistics.
