Scientific Programme:
Producing of beams of exotic light neutron-deficient and neutron-rich nuclei in reactions with light ions, producing of uranium photofission fragments, development of ion sources and charge breeders, isotope separation, acceleration of radioactive ions, design of beam diagnostic and transportation systems.

Expected main results in 2009:

Optimization of the producing target and the ion source of light radioactive nuclei at the beams of U400MR.
Optimization of low energy ions transportation from the U400MR experimental hall to U400.
Commissioning the superconducting ECR ion source DECRIS SC2.
Optimization of beam transportation systems of accelerated ions to experimental set-ups.
Modelling of processes in the hot target for producing nuclear reaction products at the U400MR cyclotron.
Modernization of the microtron MT25.
Design and testing of new systems of beam diagnostics for the FLNR acceleration complex.
