Scientific Programme:
The main goals are to investigate properties of atomic nuclei at the limits of their stability; to study dynamics of nuclear reactions and mechanisms of production of exotic nuclides; to investigate fundamental properties of exotic few-body nuclear, atomic and molecular systems;to study the behaviour of nuclear matter and its phase transitions at high temperature and density; to evaluate new methods of relativistic nuclear physics and apply them to analyze subnuclear and spin effects in few-nucleon systems.

Expected main results in 2012:

Study of anharmonic effects on the properties of low-energy quadrupole states in ^92,94Mo, ^90,92Zr with Skyrme interactions.

Investigation of new types of nuclear collective motion connected with spin degrees of freedom within the WFM method.

Study of isomers and collective octupole excitations in superheavy deformed nuclei.

Analysis of the nuclear vorticity and related collective modes within the Skyrme time-dependent density functional theory.
Analysis of the connection between singularities of a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian (exceptional points) and resonances of open quantum systems.

Development of the modified variable phase method to solve the system of coupled radial Schrodinger equations.

Study of the role of nucleon transfer in the sub-barrier fusion within the quantum diffusion approach.

Predictions of the evaporation residue cross sections for nuclei with Z=120-126 in the complete fusion reactions.

Description of the properties of the excited alternating parity bands in U and Pu isotopes.
Investigation of correlations between the two- and three-body observables for the ⁴He three-atom system.

Binding-energy calculations for systems of N -particles (N=20,100, . . .) within the generalized IDEA-approach.

Evaluation of the -meson-deuteron scattering length by using the AGS equations.

Inclusion of pion cloud contributions to the Dubna-Mainz-Taipei model for pion photo- and electroproduction on nucleon.
Investigation of mechanisms of open charm production in processes with nuclei.

The estimation of chiral magnetic effect in relativistic heavy ion collision in the kinetic approach.

Study of elastic scattering and breakup reactions of exotic halo nuclei ⁶He and ¹¹Li, and of the pion scattering off nuclei with a microscopic optical potential.
