1. Introduction

Version C++ TEION-C code is made on the basis of fortran version of TEION code [1] for calculations of passage of particles through matter. TEION code calculates the energy loss for protons, pions and ions. Energy loss at low energy is given by the L. Linhard theory [2]. Ionization energy loss by high energy particles is given by the Bethe-Bloch equation [3]. Shell and other low-energy corrections derived from Ziegler [4], density effect according to Sternheimer [5]. Bremsstrahlung and electron pair production at high energy by heavy charged particles, treated as a continuous energy loss [6], [7]. In the inter-mediate region we use the analytic approximation:

dE/dx = 1 / ( c0b + c1 + c2b-1 + c3b-2 )

Its coefficients are determined by comparison with the Lindhard expressions at low energies and the Bethe-Bloch expression at high energies.
