JINR and Armenian National Academy of Sciences to open Scientific and Technological Centre
On 14 April, an agreement between JINR and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA) on cooperation in the fields of fundamental science, information technology, innovation, and education was signed in the Directorate of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.
We have got more candidates
On 5 April, a ceremonial awarding of diplomas for scientific degrees was held at the JINR International Conference Centre. Eight scientists were awarded PhD diplomas. According to tradition, the event was held in a solemn atmosphere with the participation of representatives of the JINR Qualification Committee, guests and scientific secretaries of the dissertation councils in which the defenses were held.
Consciousness is the whole Universe
On 3 April, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Sergey VARFOLOMEEV delivered a report on "Molecular foundations of intelligence. Kinetics of chemical reactions in the human brain. Neuroengineering" at the Laboratory of Radiation Biology of JINR.

It was 2010, my school years were ending and the Unified State Exam that frightened everyone was gradually approaching. My carefree days were coming to an end, it was time to choose which exams to take. Even in elementary school, I realized that I liked the exact sciences; I had difficulty sitting through classes in humanities subjects such as literature, social studies and so on. As a result, I decided to become a physicist that literally stunned many people around me at that time, including teachers and parents...
Results of the XXV sports games
This year, after a long break, ski racing was included in the competition programme. The competition that started in February, ended on 26 March, when the finals of the volleyball and football tournaments, as well as the final competitions in kettlebell lifting are traditionally held.
