Additional Information

  1. SESSIONS of the Workshop will be conducted in the Conference Hall, which is equipped with a microphone and with systems for visual information - overhead and computerized projector for PowerPoint presentation. A poster session may be organized if the number of talks exceeds the acceptable limit.
  2. ARRIVAL BY GROUND TRANSPORTATION. Persons arriving in Moscow by train can reach Dubna from the railway station "Savelovsky vokzal". The time table of trains is given here. Buses to Dubna also depart regularly from the stop placed in front of the station. At Dubna, participants will receive information on the accomodation and on other details at the "Dubna" hotel that is located within 5 min walk distance from the station.
  3. ARRIVAL BY AIR TRANSPORTATION. Persons flying from outside countries should submit full information about their flight arrival. Transportation to Dubna by automobile will be available from the Sheremetievo Airport on June 26 and 27. Please look for a person with the poster of "Dubna, JINR" in the arrival Hall, most probably near the center of the Hall where the arrival information is displayed.
  4. HOTEL. Accomodations at the "HOTEL DUBNA" are comfortable and convenient for the guests, while not expensive. Double, single rooms and "lux" numbers are available, but single rooms cannot be guaranteed for all participants. Breakfeast is included and the restaurant and bar operate during lunch and dinner times. People are asked to check out no later than Saturday morning July 1st. There are four cafeterias nearby within a 10 min walk from the Hotel and from the Conference Hall. Each person has a choice of meals for their own convenience and pleasure.
    All enquiries regarding hotel accommodation in Dubna should be directed to the Organizing Committee.
    Those requesting hotel accommodation in other cities should make their own booking arrangements.
  5. PAYMENT. In Russia, the most typical form of payment is cash. Credit cards are acepptable at relatively few more upscale stores and restaurants. There are many currency exchange points in Moscow and some are available in Dubna as well, but operate only during week days. ATM machines are available.
  6. EXCURSION. A full-day bus excursion is planned on June 30. An interesting and beautiful old town Pereslavl Zalesski will be visited. Some additional culture program may be organizedfor the accompanying persons during the session days. A separate excursion to JINR Laboratories is preliminarily planned for June 28. Should anyone be interested in an individualized, extended program in Russia with travel to other places beyond those mentioned above, please inform the Organizing Committee in advance and indicate such cities of interest in the "Itinerary ..." item of the Visa Form.
