Investigations of Hadron-Hadron
and Lepton-Hadron Interactions

Scientific Programme:

• Measurements and investigations of the ^{+ -}atoms lifetime (DIRAC, PS CERN).
• Neutrino interactions and neutrino oscillations (NOMAD, SPS CERN).
• K-meson decays (HYPERON, U-70 IHEP).
• Interactions of polarized neutron beam with polarized protons and neutrons in MeV energy region (Van de Graaff, Charles Univ., Prague).
• The search for _e oscillations, measurement of the nucleon structure functions (Neutrino Detector, U-70 IHEP).
• Design of and experiments with the polarized ⁶LiD target (PoLiD, Prague).

• A five-month data taking run with DIRAC at CERN's PS to measure the ^{+ -} atoms lifetime within a 10%-accuracy.
• NOMAD data processing and analysis; establishment of the best upper bounds for the amplitudes of , _e and _e oscillations in the region of large m ²₁₂ (> 10 eV ²).
• Data-taking for decays K2, etc. with HYPERON. Determination of the matrix element of the K ⁺_e3 decay with new statistics; evaluation of the K ^{+ + 0} decay probability.
• Upgrading of the polarized target apparatus (at the Van de Graaff accelerator of the Charles Univ. Prague) for experiments with new polarized materials. Experiments with a deuterium polarized target.
• Completion of the QCD data analysis of neutrino DIS in the energy region of 3-30 GeV with the Neutrino detector.
• Design of the cryostat for irradiation of ⁶LiD samples; manufacturing of the cupboard with inert substance. Beginning of irradiation of ⁶LiD samples with the microtron of the Polytech. Univ. of Prague.
