Investigation of electron-neutrino angular correlation in nuclear

--decay aimed to obtain new experimental upper limits on the admixture of scalar and tensor interactions to standard V-A model. Search for neutrinoless double beta decay and wide investigation of two-neutrino

--decay of ¹⁰⁰Mo, ¹⁵⁰Nd, ¹⁰⁶Cd, ⁴⁸Ca, ⁷⁶Ge, and other isotopes in the international experiments NEMO, TGV, IGEX. Quantitative estimation of new physics phenomena (Supersymmetry, Compositeness, Lepto-quarks etc.) in cosmology, accelerator physics and rare decays. Research and development of new cryogenic methods of detection to search for Weak Interacting Massive Particles as candidates for non-barionic Dark Matter in the Universe. Research and development of new types of semiconductor germanium detectors for future generation of non-accelerator experiments in frame of the GENIUS and MAJORANA projects. Nuclear spectroscopy of nuclei far from stability; investigation of

-- and

--decay aimed to obtain new information of nuclear properties such as bounding energies, masses, coupling energies, etc. Development of new radio-chemical methods of rare nuclide extraction and new types of scintillators. The experimental setup creation and investigation of dd,, pd and d ³He reactions at ultralow energies by using of Z-pinch.

Expected main results in 2001:

Measurements of the 2 2-decay of ¹⁰⁰Mo. Preparation of the ¹⁰⁰Mo, ⁷⁶Ge and ⁴⁸Ca targets for the NEMO, TGV and MAJORANA experiments.
Production of plastic scintillators for NEMO. Assembly of the scintillation calorimeter for the NEMO spectrometer. Test runs. Production of passive shielding for NEMO.
Measurement of the electron-neutrino correlation in beta decay of ³²Ar. Development of the scintillation 4-spectrometer for measurement of -correlations.
Investigation of Si and Ge detector behaviour at a very low temperature (less than 4.2 K). Manufacturing of the cryogenic system for detectors with inner magnification. Measurements with Si detectors.
Development of the cryogenic system and manufacturing of electronics for the TGV spectrometer.
R&D for the detecting systems on the basis of the semiconductor detectors for GENIUS and MAJORANA.
Methodological investigations on updating the "target-ion-source" unit to increase the yield of short-lived isotopes.
Preparations for manufacturing of radioactive sources. Physical and chemical investigations of rare earth elements by means of the one-detector angular correlation due to gamma-gamma excitation.
Investigation of isomeric states and the structure of exited states at the beginning of the domain of highly deformed rare earth nuclei (nuclides ^157,159Tm, Ho with A=156,161, Dy with A=156,158,160, ¹⁵²Eu and ¹⁵²Gd).
Completion of the analysis of the ²²⁵Ac decay by means of investigation of the - coincidence. Investigation of the ²¹¹At and ²¹¹Po decays.
Measurement of the decay energy Q_EC of the isotopes ^156,158Er and the short-lived isotope ¹⁶⁰Yb and determination of the masses of some nuclides connected with the above-mentioned and decays.
Search for heavy neutrinos in the beta decay of ²⁴¹Pu with the electrostatic spectrometer.
Development, construction and investigation of the properties of the load module of the accelerator at HCEI RAS-SB for formation of the "inverse" deuterium Z-pinch.
Development of the method to measure energy distribution of accelerated liner ions in the "inverse" Z-pinch mode.
