Theory of Nuclei and Other Finite Systems

Scientific Programme:

• Development of the completely selfconsistent model for the multipole vibrations of valence electrons in deformed of alkali metal clusters, basing the the Kohn-Sham functional.
  Generalization of selfconsistent random phase approximation on the finite temperatures within thermo-field dynamics.
  Investigation of the -deexcitaion of long-lived ¹⁸⁰Ta ^m isomer.
  Calculations of the cross section of the Coulomb excitation of two-phonon giant quadrupole resonance within the model of harmonic oscillator with quadrupole-quadrupole interactions.
• Investigation of a parity splitting in the rotational bands of alternating parity of heavy nuclei in the framework of the nuclear cluster model.
  Development of a model for description of fusion reactoions based on the nuclear cluster model. Special attention will be paid to those mechanisms of fusion which are connected with a cluster transfer and a neck formation.
  Study of nuclear fission in the framework of the relativistic mean field theory. Special attention will be paid to a proper account of the mirror asymmetric deformations. The study may result in the prediction of the fission properties of nuclei lying far from the stability line and superheavy nuclei.
  Application of the microscopic approach to breakup reactions to description of several new Borromean nuclei.
  
• Construction of exact solutions to the Faddeev equations with centrifugial potentials and estimation of the third virial coefficient in the Tamm model of point-dipole gas.
  Representation of the spectral shift function for matrix Hamiltonians in terms of components corresponding to invariant graph subspaces.
  Construction of new exactly solvable models of multi-channel systems in the quantum supersymmetry (SUSYQ) approach.
  Calculation of the resonance penetration of a bounded pair of particles through various potential barriers. Analysis of diffraction of a bounded pair of particles on a hole and screen.
  Calculation of scattering and recombination processes in three-atomic systems (in particular in ⁴He₃, ⁴He₂ ³He, ⁴He ³He₂) at ultra-low energies.
  Determination of universal laws in recombination of atoms at the Bose condensation conditions.
  Calculation of threshold cross-sections of the -photoproduction on light nuclei.
  Calculation of spectra of three-electron artificial atoms (quantum dots).
  Determination of a mechanism of unusually rapid Auger decay of the antiprotonic helium metastable states.
  Calculation of the pion photo- and electroproduction cross-sections on nucleons in the resonance region on the basis of the MAID unitary isobar model.
  
• Elaboration of theoretical models for analysis of the vector meson productions in electromagnetic and hadronic processes as a tool for properties of the baryon resonances and the reaction mechanisms at intermediate energy.
  Derivations of kinetic equations and investigations on their basis of the particle production thermolization processes in nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies.
  Investigation of solar proton burning processes within a covariant approach based on the Bethe-Salpeter formalism. On the finite formation time effects in electro-disintegration reactions.
  Applying dispersion approach based on separable Bethe-Salpeter formalism to three-nucleon systems for investigation main relativistic effects. Effect of neutron form factors on elastic eD-scattering and electro-disintegration of deuteron.
  Calculations of reaction cross sections of K-meson interactions with nuclei taking into account the Fermi motion of intranuclear nucleons.
  Development of the alpha-cluster model of nuclei with the NN-short-range correlation inclusion and calculations of the carbon nucleus form factors at large momentum transfers.
