Experiments "Leading Particles"
(Scintillation Magnetic Spectrometer MSU) and SPIN

• difference in the production mechanism for leading -mesons and protons in reactions pA p_L/ _L (+ X) and A p_L / _L (+ X): + direct production production via a bound (baryonic or mesonic) intermediate state R.
  
  
• nature of this intermediate state R -resonance (as an isobar) or a non-resonant formation (type diffraction cluster) + with continuous mass spectrum.
  In the framework of the programme of the investigation of interaction of polarized protons with nuclei (began 1992-1998) it is proposed to perform an experimental investigation of single-spin asymmetries of polarized proton scattering on intranuclear nucleons to be compared with the analogous characteristics for scattering on free nucleons in the region of energies 1-4 GeV.
  
  Study of spin effects in elastic and inelastic np scattering and in the decay of atomic nuclei (SPIN).

• Measurement of the analysing power A(,u) of proton-carbon scattering in the reactions p + C ¹² p_L + p + X and p + H(CH₂) p_L + p + X at the energies T_p=2.51 and 3.60 GeV.
  
  
• Comparison of the obtained data with the model calculations, taking into account the cluster structure of nucleus, and with the spin phenomena predictions based on the PWA scattering on the intranuclear bound nucleon.
  
  
• Study of np pp ^- interaction.
