Development and Construction of an Accelerator Complex

Scientific Programme:
R&D and construction of the U400M (cyclotron) + U400 (cyclotron) + MT25 (microtron) complex for producing beams of exotic light neutron-deficient and neutron-rich nuclei in reactions with light ions, producing of uranium photofission fragments, isotope separation, acceleration of radioactive nuclei.

Expected main results in 2005:

Optimization of light radioactive beams transportation from U400M to U400 cyclotron.
Acceleration of ⁶He ions on the U400 cyclotron and performing of physical experiments.
Modelling of processes in the hot target for producing of photofission fragments on the MT25 microtron bremsstralung. Target and separator design.
