Investigation of Relativistic Multiparticle Interactions
(Project MARUSYA)

Scientific Programme:
Development of the MARUSYA set-up and experiments with extracted beams of Nuclotron.
Investigation of rare subthreshold and cumulative processes of hadronic production, antimatter production. Investigation of spin phenomena in the transition regime and single spin asymmetries.
Analysis of the obtained experimental data on the production of very low energy fragments.

Expected main results in 2005:

Processing and analysis of the obtained experimental pion and proton spectra in p-Al, p-Cu, d-Al, d-Cu interactions.
Analysis of the methodical results of the magneto-optical spectrometer operation on the basis of the measured maps of magnetic fields and experimental investigations.
Measurement of kaon production spectra as functions of energy and type of extracted Nuclotron beams at the angles 20-60 ⁰ for kaon momenta 0.5-1.5 GeV/c.
Development of the new TOF system, upgrade of the data collection and processing system of the MARUSYA set-up.
Processing and analysis of the obtained experimental data on the production of very low energy fragments with internal targets of Nuclotron (ITELEF experiment).
Development of the threshold Cherenkov counter for the registration of deep sub-threshold kaons and antiprotons.
Experimental investigation of single-spin asymmetries in d+A h+X d reactions in the experimental conditions of the MARUSYA set-up.
