Realization of the scientific program:

• Determination of magnetization distribution in layered nanostructures in depth and analysis of their magnetic properties.
  
  
• Structural characterization of magnetic nanoparticles and their clusters in magnetic colloid systems, determination of structural mechanisms of stabilization of magnetic liquids.
  
  
• Determination of internal structure of basic components of liquid dispersions of nano-diamonds and shungites and clusterization regimes at different conditions.
  
  
• Determination of structural parameters of porous carbon nanopowders, soot and fullerene soot.
  
  
• Determination of the crystal and magnetic structure parameters and formation mechanisms of magnetic properties at nano-scale in novel materials - complex oxides and intermetallics of manganese, cobalt, vanadium, rhutenium, iron, nickel, etc, having important prospective applications in nanotechnology, electronic and other technologies, in wide range of temperatures and pressures.
  
  
• Determination of the mechanisms of polymorphic phase transformations in active pharmaceutical ingredients under mechanical load in wide range of temperatures.
  
  
• Determination of the parameters of crystal and magnetic structure of nanoparticles of oxide materials.
  
  
• Determination of the crystal and magnetic structure parameters of low-dimensional magnetics and multiferroics and analysis of formation mechanisms of their physical properties.
  
  
• Analysis of magnetic and structural properties of hydrogen-accumulating nanostructured materials with tuned deficiency with AB5, A2B7 and AB3 type intermetallic structures with nickel, cobalt and rare-earth metals.

Realization of the program of IBR-2 spectrometers development:

• Development and construction of the mirror neutron guide, mechanical part and detector system of the DN-6 diffractometer.
  
  
• Development and construction of the polarization system, mechanical part and sample environment unit of the GRAINS reflectometer with vertical scattering plane.
  
  
• Completion of the detector system and beam collimation system of the Fourier Stress Diffractometer.
  
  
• Modernization of the REMUR reflectometer in order to improve the polarization of the neutron beam and background conditions.
  
  
• Modernization of the data acquisition system and software of the REFLEX reflectometer.
  
  
• Modernization of the YuMO small angle neutron scattering spectrometer in order to improve the neutron counting rate and background conditions.
  
  
• Modernization of the HRFD and DN-2 diffractometers in order to improve neutron counting rate, background conditions and resolution.
  
  
• Modernization of the inelastic neutron scattering spectrometers NERA-PR and DIN-2PI in order to improve the neutron counting rate, background conditions and software.
  
  
• Development and testing of novel neutron scattering methods, including resonance spin echo, neutron standing waves, neutron wave-guides.
