Mathematical Support of Experimental and Theoretical Studies Conducted by JINR

• Simulation of processes of the electromagnetic pulse distributions in scintillating media of the detectors used for the BOREXINO experiment. Modeling of scattering ⁶He+ ¹²C within a microscopic approach with the account of disintegration cross-section. Research of the structure and properties of polydisperse populations of lipid vesicles in sucrose solution on synchronous small-angle scattering data. Development of the interactive informational analytical system HEPWEB for modeling processes in high energy physics: new generator programs UrQMD3.3, Geant4 hadron models - Bertini, Binary, FTF, QGSM. Development of an web-oriented software complex for calculation of nucleus-nucleus and hadron-nuclear interactions at low and intermediate energies on the basis of a microscopic model joining double-folding and high-energy approximation models. Integration of the developed software complex in the HEPWEB system. Calibration of the ATLAS calorimeter complex with using neural network method of the energy reconstruction. Development of a neural network method for background elimination from pile-up events in the quest of the thermalization region under extremely high multiplicity of 7 TeV charged hadrons. Estimation of the characteristics of the cathode-strip station ME1/1 of the CMS installation on the LHC data. Cross-section calculations of the deep inelastic diffractive processes in the electron-proton scattering data collected on the forward proton spectrometer of installation H1 at the HERA-2 collider. Development of theoretical and numerical approaches for the analysis of observables in the ATLAS and DIRAC experiments.
  
  
• Computer simulation of the magnetic systems for the accelerators SIS100 and SIS300 for the FAIR project. Optimization of the dipole magnet parameters in the CBM experiment with the purpose to diminish the forces acting on the magnet winding. Development of numerical methods, software and algorithms for determination of the steady state operating modes of the multi-purpose isochronous cyclotrons. Construction of finite-element schemes entering adaptive algorithms for the solution of intricate nonlinear three-dimensional problems of magnetostatics.
  
  
• Participation in the work on the development of the programming environment for MPD and SPD at NICA collider complex. Development of the TDAQ WEB Monitoring Interface for remote access to the ATLAS Control Room at CERN and implementation in LIT of a pilot mode of the remote monitoring of ATALS data. Debugging of the DQM Framework system for the ATLAS experiment data quality control. Development and support of the Resource Manager (TDAQ ATLAS). Development of program and computer package for the CBM experiment: 1) development of algorithms and software package for ring recognition in the RICH detector, track reconstruction in MUCH and TRD detectors, efficiency increase of the global tracking by inclusion of the TOF and ECAL detectors; 2) elaboration of new approaches and algorithms aimed at increasing the efficiency of electron registration and pion rejection with the help of the RICH and TRD detectors; 3) development of algorithms for parallel computations on multi-core processors; 4) creation of a first version of software for calibration and adjustment of RICH and track detectors; 5) work on the TRD detector design optimization. Development of methods and algorithms for curve segmentation by polynomials of degree higher than three using the basic element method.
  
  
• Research into quark models of interacting hot and dense nuclear matter for the description of expected processes in the NICA project. Simulation of a cryogenic cell for pulse supply of working gases into the electron string source of highly charged ions. Development of numerical schemes and software package for research in: radiation stability of multilayered materials using the modified thermal spike model; diffusions in porous materials; time evolution of polarons; phase transitions in cuprates within the modified two-zone Hubbard model; phase dynamics of the systems of coupled Josephson junctions; propagations of electromagnetic radiation in irregular integral-optical wave guides. Mathematical simulation of energy-dependent potential quantum holes in nanoelectronics. Development of analytical and numerical methods for finding exact and approximated solutions of evolutionary and spectral problems. Research in the stability of periodic localized excitations in systems described by nonlinear Schroedinger equations. Spinor description of gravitational field sources and modeling the evolution of anisotropic Universe. Research into the problem of potential selection, the role of the electromagnetic field in cosmology and the nonvanishing rest mass of the photon. Construction of new classes of analytical solutions to nonlinear models of type <<reaction-drift-diffusion>>, describing the evolution of stable local heterogeneities in multicomponent media. Simulations of the optically induced electromagnetic response of metallic nano-particles in the neighborhood of a planar semiconductor substrate with dielectric coating. Extension of the method of self-similar approximations to the solution of the equations describing complex systems. Simulation of the occurrence of a granular condensate in elongated traps.
  
  
• Design of algorithms and their implementation into software for decomposition of nonlinear algebraic and differential systems into triangular subsystems. Algoritmization and software implementation of solution of particle dynamics problems taking into account high-order aberrations. Computation of some multiloop Feynman integrals important for LHC experiments by applying dimensional recursion. Development of algorithmic methods for quantizing discrete dynamic systems with nontrivial symmetry properties.
  
  
• Extension of the algorithmic base built in QuantumCircuit with Shor's algorithm for integer factoring. The use of computational invariants theory and geometric group methods for quantitative characterization of entanglement for mixed qubit-qubit and gubit-qutrit states. Design and implementation of symbolic-numeric algorithms for simulation of quantum dots. Development of algorithms and software for quantum information transfer modeling. Search of promoter elements of genome from projections of their electrostatic potentials. Construction of molecular surface maps for a series of DNA-protein complexes, computation of electrostatic potentials of these complexes. Development of new methods of monitoring and control of local networks by way of dividing the information streams into regular, chaotic and abnormal components.
