Radiation Effects and Physical Basis of Nanotechnology,
Radioanalytical and Radioisotope Investigations
at the FLNR Accelerators

• Transmission electron microscopy studies of radiation damage morphology in tracks of high-energy heavy ions in Al₂O₃, YAlO₃ and Y₂Al₅O₁2.
  
  
• Study of structural changes in Y-Ti-O nanoparticles in oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloys as a function of electron stopping power.
  
  
• The study of influence of high-power pulse high temperature plasma on first wall ITER materials using of “Plasma Focus” set-up.
  
  
• The studies of influence of high energy (10-23 MeV) gamma-quanta irradiation on the behavior of metals inside dense gases (H₂, D₂, He, Ne, Ar and Xe). The synthesis of new structures.
  
  
• Development of a procedure of radiation resistance tests for the microelectronics devices using the accelerated ion beams.
  
  
• Carring out the complex studies of micro- and nano-structred materials produced by the ion track etching method, including track-etch membranes, using the newly commissioned equipment of the Nanocentre.

• Development of new methods of separation and concentration of radioactive isotopes – ^195mPt, ^117mSn, ²²⁷Th, ²²⁵Ŕń, ²¹³Bi for the use in nuclear medicine and environmental research.
