Performances "Snow Waltz"That was the name of the performance that was played on the stage of the Cultural Centre "Mir" on 4 January by Maria Poroshina and Yaroslav Boyko. The romantic comedy is based on the play "Captured in the Snow" by contemporary English playwright Peter Quilter.
The artistic setting, unusual for a performance-entreprise, created a multifaceted scene: candles on the bookshelves, a cozy room, curtains, glass, two snowmen outside the window and even further - the snow-covered roofs of village houses. The nature of the characters turned out to be quite voluminous and contradictory. Each of them lives in seclusion - one avoids society, preferring the quiet, comfortable world of a perfectionist, the other is so energetic and full of life that he tires the villagers and is expelled from everywhere. There are many ambiguities in the performance: whether the meeting of the characters is accidental, or the sympathy is sincere, what will overpower - Patrick's irritation or Judith's love of life, whether they will stay together ... Yes, this all doesn't matter. The artists told us a good New Year's story - a little magical, a little sad, but quite funny and believable. The hall was full, the audience responded to jokes and dance scenes, applauded the artists. One of the evenings of the long January holidays passed wonderfully.
