They are awarded medals of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Among the winners of the RAS medals for young scientists and students following the results of Competition in 2022 are two young JINR scientists - Lyudmila Kolupaeva and Elizaveta Bushmina. Both awards were won for papers in the field of nuclear physics; they were presented on 14 November, by the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Academician Gennady Krasnikov, at a meeting of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Deputy Head of the Department of Elementary Particle Physics at DLNP Lyudmila Kolupaeva was awarded for the series of papers "Measurement of oscillation parameters in long-baseline neutrino accelerator experiments." The central part of the series consists of articles based on the results of the paper in the NOvA collaboration.
VBLHEP research assistant Elizaveta Bushmina was awarded for her series of scientific papers "Investigation of the interaction of ionizing radiation with plastic objects manufactured using three-dimensional printing for problems in medical physics." She was awarded the RAS medal among students on the results of her master's studies. Elizaveta started working at the Joint Institute after having graduated from the Engineering School of Nuclear Technologies of the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University and currently continues her graduate studies.
