New heights of the choir "Belcanto"

The creative group, founded in the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir", is the "golden fund" of our city culture. For many in Dubna it is not just words since some residents participated in the choir and besides, it is the warmth of friendly rehearsals, the delight of trips and of course, the creative excitement of concerts. And for the listeners, it is surprise and admiration of the skill of the singers and the conductor.

The creative season is not over yet but traditionally, we would like to summarize some results. The 2024-2025 season was incredible, rich in events - one brighter than the other!

In autumn, the choir took part in the performance of the soundtracks to the film "Harry Potter" on the stage of the Great Hall of the Kremlin Palace of Congresses with the participation of the Symphony Orchestra led by Sergey Akimov, in the concert programme "Harry Potter. Symphonic Soundtrack". And later, they repeated this programme on the stage of the Cultural Centre "Oktyabr" in their native Dubna.

On New Year holidays, our choir "Belcanto" went to the city of Nalchik, where it took part in the first International Choir Competition-Festival "Elbrus Chorophone" and as part of the united choir, sang the anthem of Russia on the highest point of Europe. Elbrus showed its harsh character and met the choristers with snowstorm, frost and snow but despite it, the steadfast artists - adults and children still sang the anthem of Russia, glorifying our Motherland.

The next project was a performance of Sergey Rachmaninoff's opera "Aleko". For the singers it is a valuable experience not only in studying the musical content, but also in preparing costumes, make-up and stage images. They had to show imagination and ingenuity. They managed to feel like real opera artists!

Spring has come and the holiday of Easter has arrived. Easter hymns sounded tenderly and slenderly performed by "Belcanto".

Afterwards - the Festival "Singing Moscow Region". Creative choral and vocal groups came to Dubna from different cities, choristers not only performed, but also listened to other participants, exchanged experience.

On the day of celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in Dubna, there were mass public festivities. 9 May is a special day for every Russian, the music of the Victory sounds in everyone's heart and the singers of the choir "Belcanto" inspiredly performed songs of the war years. To the accordion and bayan on the Tsentralnaya Street of our city, the choristers sang many beautiful, beloved songs.

Great experience, talent and love for singing, inexhaustible energy of the choir have helped to achieve significant results and high performing skills.
