The event was organized by JINR in cooperation with the Nuclear Energy Committee under the Government of Mongolia, Mongolian State University (NUM) and the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. About forty Mongolian students not younger than the third year of undergraduate studies, as well as master's and postgraduate students, became participants in the School. The lecturers of the School are scientists of JINR and partner organizations of the Institute from Mongolia. The School is aimed at a comprehensive study of nuclear methods in a wide range of applications and consists of three courses on life sciences, environmental sciences and materials science. Each course begins with an introduction to the subject and its development up to the current state of research, while lecturers talk about the possibilities to take part in the investigations carried out in their research centres.
