In favour of the development of cooperation

On 22 March, the Plenipotentiary Representative of Vietnam at JINR, Vice-President of the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technology Tran Tuan Anh met with JINR Director Grigory Trubnikov.

The parties spoke about the need of increasing the number of Vietnamese staff members that work at JINR. The possibilities of training highly qualified personnel in the field of nuclear and accelerator technology were discussed.

It was decided that Vietnamese employees would have further participation in the JEMS Training Programme. The representatives of Vietnam also confirmed their intention to open a JINR Information Centre. The meeting participants decided to hold JINR Days in Vietnam at the end of the year.

At the end of the meeting, Grigory Trubnikov and Tran Tuan Anh signed an agreement regulating certain aspects of the work of Vietnamese staff members at the Institute, as well as the implementation of cooperation programmes and grants from the Plenipotentiary Representative of Vietnam at JINR.
