On 22 September at 4:00 PM we invite you to the next seminar in the great hall of the JINR Club of Scientists. LIT researcher Igor Pelevanyuk will make a presentation on "The Role of Computing in Scientific Research".

"Science has been around for a long time and computers as we know them today appeared only 80 years ago. Then machines capable of performing operations with 0 and 1 became the result of advances in science. Now they themselves are a condition for implementing unique and complex research," the author of the seminar comments.

We invite you to become participants of the Interregional Photo Contest "Touch science!" The organizer of the competition is the Student Scientific Society of the Bryansk State University named after Academician I.G.Petrovsky. The event is held within the framework of the project "Scientific and educational platform "Back to Science!" with the support of a grant in the form of subsidies from the federal budget to educational organizations of higher education for the implementation of activities aimed at supporting student scientific communities. The participants of the competition can be students of Russian and foreign educational institutions of higher education studying under the bachelor's, specialist's and master's programs, regardless of the form of education.

Competition nominations

"From the scene" - photographs reflecting interesting moments of scientific activity.

"Microimages" - images taken with a microscope.

"Science around us" - photographs of scientific phenomena or processes.

"Scientific visualization, infographics" - video files, computer-generated images, etc.

"Nature" - landscapes, images of animals and plants in their environment.

"Series of photographs" - from 2 to 10 images of the processes and results of scientific experiments, substances, objects, moments of scientific activity.

"People's Choice Award" - the work that received the most "likes" in the social network VKontakte.

"My university, my profession" - a special nomination for students of the Bryansk University.

No more than 5 photographs in each category will be accepted. Until 1 November inclusive, one should send an e-mail to photo.bsu@yandex.ru: a competition application and independently completed photograph.

The results of the competition will be announced no later than 15 November and published on the website of the Bryansk University named after Academician I.G.Petrovsky https://brgu.ru/ and in social network groups.
