Until 5 November, an exhibition of mosaics by Mikhail Polyakov and his students is open at the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir". On 8 October, from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM, a free master class will be held in the exhibition hall of the Cultural Centre. The master explains the details.

You have prepared a unique gift for the citizens of Dubna - the opportunity to create a mosaic art object and go down in history. Let's tell everyone when the master class will be held, who can come to it and what should come out of it in the end...

- We want to make a floor mosaic at the entrance to the Cultural Centre "Mir", it will be a classic Roman mosaic, consistent in style, it will be very suitable for the facade. Another interesting art object will appear in our city. It will be quite large, 160x120 cm. Initially, it will be divided into elements that we will then unite together.

That is, it will be some kind of puzzle that you will later assemble into one in the workshop, won't you?

- Naturally, I will prepare a sketch in advance so that it doesn't turn out eclectic, everything will be in the same style. If everything works out well, I think it will turn out to be a nice, stylish piece of art. We will lay it out in the reverse way - this is when there is an image, transparent Velcro is placed on top and stones are placed on it. In the workshop, I will fill it with cement on top. Next, we turn it all over and get a plane. Both children and adults can participate. Waiting for everybody!
