"Colours of Time"Under this name, an art exhibition will open on 20 February at the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir".Artists Nikolay and Elena Komarovs are full members of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts (St. Petersburg), members of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists. In 2019, both masters were awarded the title "Honored Artist of Europe". Picturesque paintings from different years, painted by the authors on trips to Russia, the Holy Land, Italy and France, genre paintings and sketches, a series of historical papers "Chronicles and the Unknown Capital", painted in the style of Byzantine iconography, based on the Front Chronicle of the 16th century are presented at the exhibition. Nikolay and Elena Komarovs are famous Russian artists, representatives of the Academic School of Painting, dating back to the Imperial Academy of Arts of St. Petersburg. Founded in 1757, the Academy of Arts is one of the best art schools in the world. The training system at the Academy carries the best traditions of Western European art, starting with the masters of the Italian Renaissance. Continuing the traditions of the Academic School of Painting, artists Nikolay and Elena Komarovs work in a wide range of species and genres. These are great historical and biblical paintings, landscapes of Russia, the Holy Land and other countries of the East and West, still lifes, genre paintings and portraits of contemporaries. The topic of serving people, a sincere desire to reflect the divine beauty of the universe in their paintings runs through all the artists' artworks. The exhibition will be open until 17 March.
