AYSS Dissertation Club

The Association of Young Scientists and Specialists has organized a club for graduate students and applicants to help them with the preparation of scientific qualification papers.

Meetings will be held 1-2 times a month at the Dzhelepov Laboratory of Nuclear Problems and will be broadcast online. The leader of the Club is a researcher of the Sector of Low Temperatures at DLNP A.Dolzhikov. As part of the meetings, meetings with the members of the Dissertation Council will also be held that will talk about the formal part of writing a paper.

The first meeting was held on 6 February, with more than fifty participants joining. DLNP Director E.Yakushev spoke about the importance of defending a PhD thesis. Senior researcher at MLIT A.Uzhinsky shared his experience of functioning of the Dissertation Club in the Laboratory of Information Technologies. A.Dolzhikov spoke about his experience of defense and about the nuances that one needs to know for a successful defense. The Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Council on Nuclear Physics G.Karamysheva presented the basic requirements for scientific qualification papers.
