A new name and content

Cafe Grill after the reconstruction of the hostel at Moskovskaya, 2, was renamed the restaurant Barion. It, of course, is more suitable for a science city and reflects the research area at the NICA accelerator complex under construction. The atmosphere and cuisine have changed with the name.

Director of the cafe Artem Konstantinovich Malyshkin said that after the reconstruction the number of seats has increased, today it can accommodate 100-120 people at a time. The area has expanded due to the extension of the bar, which is located on the side, where there used to be a passage with columns. If necessary, the dance floor pit can be used. Today, thanks to the flexibility of the configuration, the cafe can simultaneously accommodate small groups of participants of conferences or training practices.

The cafe is open from 12.00 AM to 11.00 PM. In summer, the veranda will open and, most likely, there will also be more opening hours.

The team of chefs is new, young, with a sense of humor. That is why the menu includes, for example, such snacks as: "Gentleman's set" - herring, sour cabbage, pickled cucumbers, salo, pickled tomatoes, mustard. Apparently, it is especially for our international team. The menu is varied, some names sound like a song: "Grissini cabanossi", "Pappardelle with vegetables", "Vitello tonnato". This is for sophisticated natures. And the dish "Sausage frying pan", baked potatoes and mixed meat solyanka are for lovers of the traditional feast.

The Periodic system of consumption - a table in which instead of chemical elements there are the names of strong drinks and cocktails, the volume of servings and the price, is appended to the menu.

An important fact is that JINR employees can pay with coupons at lunchtime.
