Lecture in the library

On 28 January, at 16.30, we invite you to the JINR Universal Public Library for a lecture "First aid mistakes" by physician-therapist, medical journalist and scientific editor Alexey Vodovozov.

Folk methods of providing first aid in different situations have been passed down from generation to generation: a spoon in the mouth during an epileptic seizure, the Heimlich maneuver choking treatment and others, once (most probably, long ago) recommended by doctors. Are these techniques really effective and safe? What does modern medicine advise when providing first aid to those who have burned themselves, choked, got into an accident, have a suspected heart attack or a nosebleed? We will learn at the lecture.
