At the Radio Club "Dubna"

12-year-old radio operators of the collective radio station RK3DXC club Mikhail Buslaev and Timofey Lanskikh were awarded diplomas in the youth Russian championship in radio communications on short waves in telephone mode.

Thanks to their high results, they were included in the Moscow region team that took first place in Russia among 38 regions that participated in the Russian Championship. The children that completed the second adult sports categories were trained by the permanent head of the radio club since 1969, master of sports and honorary radio operator of the USSR Vyacheslav Nikolaevich Semenov.

Relatively recently, young athletes have taken part in a radio marathon "Pobeda-78", organized by the Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia and in celebration of the 15th anniversary of location of the "IL-2" memorial on the banks of the Volga in Dubna. They conducted hundreds of radio communications with the hero cities of Russia.

Most members of the radio club are JINR employees or their relatives. Previously, the club functioned as a sports section at JINR and in fact, was such; its members were employees from the JINR Member States.
