Scientific tourism routes

In 2024, VBLHEP staff conducted 141 excursions to various laboratory facilities (107 excursions were conducted in 2023) that amounted to about 60% of the total number of excursions conducted at JINR.

In total, VBLHEP was visited by about 1980 people (1600 people in 2023). Among the visitors were: 100 teachers, 430 Russian students (a significant number of them are from Dubna University), 120 foreign students, 170 students from Dubna schools, 390 schoolchildren from other cities.

The most popular objects for visits were the MPD building and the NICA collider (134 visits), as well as the synchrophasotron building with the HILAc + Booster + Nuclotron accelerators of the NICA complex located in it (106 visits).

All information about the number of excursions is taken from the website https://jinrex.jinr.ru that is the official JINR platform for scheduling, coordinating and monitoring excursions.

In total, in 2024, JINR employees conducted 243 excursions for 3360 people around the Institute's Laboratories.

You can only visit the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in a group: schoolchildren aged 14, students and their supervisors are invited.

You can apply for a visit to the Joint Institute on the website of the JINR University Centre.

For children under 14 and adults, exciting excursions to the JINR Museum of History of Science and Technology, as well as to the interactive exhibition "JINR basic facilities" in the Cultural Centre "Mir" are available.

All excursions are free.
