The magnet yoke of the MPD facility assembled
On 25 December 2020, according to the preliminary work plan, the check assembly of the magnet yoke of the solenoid spectrometric magnet of the MPD setup at the NICA complex has been successfully completed: the final upper plate No. 28 was installed.

On 28 December, Head of the Dubna City Administration Sergey Kulikov awarded the winners of the competition for the title “Best Dubna athlete of the year”.

A branch of the Russian Academy of Engineering opened in Beijing
The ceremonial opening of the Chinese Centre (CC) of the Russian Academy of Engineering ( RAE) was held on 22 December in Beijing in the framework of the festive joint meeting of the RAE Presidium and the branch of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

New year video greetings from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research
There are only a few days left before the new year 2021. Looking back, we see that despite the fact that 2020 was a difficult year for everyone because of the pandemic, the JINR multinational staff managed to achieve bright scientific results. On the eve of the bright new year holidays, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research congratulates its colleagues and partners from the Member States, as well as from scientific laboratories all over the world. GERDA experiment: another milestone in the search for neutrinoless double-beta decay
The GERmanium Detector Array (GERDA) experiment at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS) of INFN, Italy, has reported its final results on the search for the neutrinoless double-beta (0vββ) decay of 76Ge in the recent issue of Physical Review Letters. Moreover, our paper has been selected to be a PRL Editors’ Suggestion. No signal has been observed, but all goals of the final phase of the experiment have been achieved.
